Continuation of hearings before the Privacy Protection Study Commission to examine privacy issues related to consumer credit reporting and payment authorization services, including possible need to expand requirements of Federal privacy laws to consumer and commercial reporting agencies, and current credit bureau functions and consumer privacy and credit reporting practices.
Also includes discussion of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, to protect consumers from disclosure of credit information and to insure consumer access to information on credit status.
