Abstract
Continuation of hearings before the Privacy Protection Study Commission to examine privacy issues related to consumer credit reporting and possible need to expand requirements of Federal privacy laws to consumer and commercial reporting agencies, and to review current credit bureau functions and consumer privacy and credit reporting practices.
Considers application of principles and requirements of the Privacy Act of 1974 to consumer reporting agencies.
Considers the Fair Credit Reporting Act, to protect consumers from disclosure of credit information and to insure consumer access to information on credit status.
