Summary
Contains transcript of Subcom on Public Assistance markup session on H.R. 11540, to amend the Social Security Act to require unemployed fathers to collect any unemployment compensation (UC) to which they are entitled, and require States to supplement UC benefits in those cases where the AFDC-UF (Aid to Families with Dependent Children-Unemployed Father) benefits are higher than the UC benefits.
Also briefly reviews limitations on funds paid by welfare centers to recipients who have previously mismanaged welfare income.
