Summary
Hearing before Subcom on National Parks and Recreation on H.R. 30, to establish the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington State to protect a segment of the Snake River. Also authorizes study of another part of the Snake River under the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act, designates portions of the recreation area as wilderness, and directs the Secretary of Agriculture to prepare a comprehensive management plan for the entire recreation area. Amended bill was favorably reported.
