Summary
In this film narrative is re-invented with a feminist point-of-view. The storyline concerns a woman whose sexual dissatisfaction masks an enormous anger, while the film combines words and images with postmodern lightness, economy, and visual panache. Both Minimalist and Conceptualist, the emotional temperature approximates that of performance art, containing a running commentary on and interrogation of sex, sexuality, sexism, objectification, and the male gaze. The narration--non-diegetic sentence fragments dispassionately, deliberately articulated by a female speaker--represents the cultural suppression of the female voice.
