Abstract
This poll is part of a series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. The poll was conducted August 7-11, 2003. Respondents were asked to give their opinions of President George W. Bush and his handling of the war with Iraq. Views were also sought on the economic and human costs of the war with Iraq, the status of the nation's economy, the effect of the war and the economy on the 2004 election, and the respondent's personal investments and financial situation. Other questions addressed differences between the Democratic and Republican parties, and the respondents' religious attitudes on homosexuality. Background variables include age, political orientation, education, sex, ethnicity, religious orientation, likelihood of voting, and socioeconomic status.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR03811.v1
