Abstract
This poll, fielded March 19-21, 2000, is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. Respondents were asked to give their opinions of President Bill Clinton, Vice President Al Gore, Texas Governor George W. Bush, former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley, Arizona Senator John McCain, conservative commentator Pat Buchanan, and Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan. Respondents were queried on their attitudes about third-party candidates, voter participation, levels of political efficacy, and satisfaction with the political system. Views were also sought on campaign finance reform, gun control laws, and what role the presidential debates would play in the general election. Background information on respondents includes age, sex, race, education, religion, voter registration and participation history, political party, political orientation, Hispanic descent, marital status, gun ownership, computer access, stock market investments, age of children in household, and family income.Cf: http://doi.org/10.3886/ICPSR02928.v3
