Abstract
The paper examines the restoration of the Bedford-Stuyvesant area of Brooklyn, NY during the years of 1967-1968 after Senator Robert F. Kennedy introduced the formation of two non-profit organizations focused on revitalizing an area that was one of the nation's most notorious ghettos.
