Translation of Nouveaux élémens de physiologie from the 5th edition (Paris, 1810) The London edition of De Lys' translation appeared in 1812. Chapman prepared the Philadelphia edition as a textbook for his projected lectures on physiology at the University of Pennsylvania. An earlier translation by Robert Kerrison was published in London, 1803, and Philadelphia, 1808.
