  • Engraved script, with signatures in a round hand. Within an ornamental border featuring the state seals in medallions, and portraits of Washington, Jefferson and Adams, all surmounted by an eagle. The seals are numbered, with the names of the states written at the lower corners.
  • "To the people of the United States this engraving of the Declaration of Independence is most respectfully inscribed by their fellow citizen Wm. Woodruff."
