  • Imprint from colophon.
  • Folding plate of a terrestrial globe, with 14 lines of explanatory text beginning: propositu[m] situ[m] est hoc libello quanda[m] Cosmographiae introductione[m] scribere."
  • Suggestion to name the new continent in honor of Amerigo Vespucci on p. [22].
  • With verses by Philesius Volesigenav [i.e. Matthias Ringmann] on verso of title page; dedication by Martinus Ilacomilus [i.e. Waldseemüller] on p. [3].
  • "Quattuor Americi vesputij Nauigationes": pages [29-63].
  • Signatures: A-B⁴ C⁶ D⁴ E⁶ F⁸ (F8 verso blank).
  • Printed in black letter; decorative initials, and printed marginalia.
