SPECIAL COLLECTIONS: Tipped in: two slips stating that the binding has the floral device of Marguerite de Valois, interspersed with the S fermé of her husband, Henri IV. Wilmerding catalogue states that the binding was executed for Pierre Duodo, who was born in 1554, whose arms and device have often been attributed to Marguerite de Valois.
