  • Longitude not shown; oriented with north towards the right.
  • Large standing figure of Indian along right border at the center; royal coat of arms to the left of it.
  • Cartouches: title at top center; scale and publisher statement at bottom center; "Notarum explicatio" above Indian figure.
  • Inset: "Status Regis Powatan" in upper left corner.
  • Possibly from Blaeu's Theatre du monde, Amsterdam, 1640. Text on verso of map is in French, Signature I, with catchword "cons."
