Abstract
U.S. Senator from Kentucky Alben W. Barkley gives a rousing speech at Washington and Lee University, during the annual Mock Democratic Convention, before suffering a fatal heart attack. An ambulance carries Barkley away from the scene, and footage shows empty chairs in the University auditorium.
