Description
"This linear accelerator is one of the few in America modified to perform stereotactic radiosurgery. Physicist Alan Aquilino points the accelerator at a model skull held in place by the stereotactic head frame to show how surgeons will use it to pinpoint and destroy brain tumors." This photo accompanied the article "New Radiation Method Targets Brain Tumors" in the Draw Sheet, February 23, 1987.
