Summary
Photo used in the March 8, 1999 issue of Link, with caption: "[Mary] Bednar breaks ground with Hovey Dabney, former rector of the BOV." The picture is one of three accompanying the article, "Third Career Offers New Flavor," about Mary Bednar. The article reads (in part): "....After 14 years as an administrator at the University of Virginia Medical Center and a quarter-century in Charlottesville, she is embarking this month on her third and 'final' career in Hershey, Pa., a city that calls itself 'The Sweetest Place on Earth.' Before becoming CFO, she headed the Patient Care Services division for a year following the departure of Jean Sorrells-Jones. She served as associate executive director of the Medical Center from November 1992 to July 1997, and before that she had been assistant director of finance since April 1985...."
