UVFrom the Bulletin of the University of Virginia Medical School and Hospital, Fall 1941: "Miss Virginia H. Walker of Baltimore has been appointed to the position of Director of Nurses at the University of Virginia Hospital and School of Nursing. Miss Walker was born in Middlesex County, Virginia, and received her academic education in the schools of the State. In 1926 she received a baccalaureate degree from Westhampton College in the University of Richmond. She was graduated from Johns Hopkins Hospital Training School for Nurses in 1929 and since that time has had extensive training and experience in nearly all phases of nursing activity. For the past two years she has been on the staff of the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Miss Walker took up her duties at the University in July, 1941."
