From excerpt on photo: Antonio Ferri, rear, with Raymond J. Comenzo, a student who is working toward his master of aeronautical engineering degree in the graduate program, are shown observing the operation of a supersonic pressure tunnel. Ferri is internationally famous in the field of supersonic aerodynamics. He is head of the Gas Dynamics Branch of the Compressibility Research Division at Langley and has recently written a book entitled Elements of Aerodynamics of Supersonic Flows. This book is used as the text for his course in aerodynamics of supersonic flows.
