"The first part of the historie of the vvorld . The third booke" (caption title) begins new pagination on leaf 4A1r.

Errors in paging: (second count) p. 164 misprinted as 165, 387 as 389, 535 as 525, ; 491-492 repeated; (fourth count, i.e. the third and fourth books) p. 157 misprinted as 153, p. 224 as 228, 276 as 267, 439 as 436.

Bound immediately following the table of contents (a-c⁶ d²) is "The Life of Sir Walter Raleigh" (54p.), signed B-N². It is from 1677 London edition of the same work (Cf. Sabin, entry 67560).
SPECIAL COLLECTIONS: Bound in full mottled calf over wooden boards. All edges red. Spine in seven compartments divided by raised bands. Gilt stamped black spine leather label in second compartment.
