Certain copies of both the 1st and 2d editions, which were published in Philadelphia in 1755, have an additional line in the imprint "and sold by J. and R. Dodsley in Pall-Mall, London." (1st edition with the additional, Dodsley imprint: Miller, C.W. Franklin 605a and ESTC W14360; 2nd edition without the Dodsley imprint, Miller, C.W. Franklin 606; ESTC W14361). Sabin and Church do not give separate entries for the editions with the Dodsley imprint.
This second issue of the second edition (with Dodsley imprint) includes the original map, with title: A general map of the middle British colonies in America ; viz. Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pensilvania, New-Jersey, New York, Connecticut & Rhode-Island: of Aquanishuonigy the country of the confederate Indians; comprehending Aquanishuonigy proper, their places of residence, Ohio and Tiiuxsoxruntie their deer-hunting countries, Couxsaxrage and Skaniadarade, their beaver-hunting countries; of the lakes Erie, Ontario and Champlain, and of part of New-France: wherein is also shewn the antient and present seats of the Indian nations.
