SPECIAL COLLECTIONS: Bound in full navy blue crushed levant morocco. Undecorated covers; spine in six panels divided by raised bands. Title gilt in the second panel, "Cotton Mather 1693" in the third panel. Turn-ins are elaborately gilt with a wide floriated roll, a double line fillet, then a single line fillet topped with a small tulip decorative roll. Board edges are gilt with a double line fillet. All edges gilt. Binding signed: Bound by Riviere and Son. Provenance: From the library of William G. Mather with his bookplate and Wm. G. Mather Accession No. 214 on front paste-down. Tracy W.
