Translator's dedication signed: Wye Saltonstall.
Imprimatur at foot of leaf 4O2 verso: Decemb. 19. 1633. Recensui hanc ... publica imprimatur; ... Guilielmus Haywood Archiep. Cant. Capellanus Domest.
Folded map has title and imprint "New England the most remarqueable parts thus named by the high and mighty Prince Charles, nowe king of great Britaine London printed by Iames Reeue", signed: Simon Passeus sculpsit.
Errata note on 4O2 verso.
Page 905 bears a map of New Spain, a duplicate of that on p. 907. A map of Virginia, printed after the book was issued, is intended to be pasted over it. Note in Errata: "Note in Errata on verso of last leaf states "There is no map for Virginia in regard, there is a more exact map drawing in that country, whose platform is not yet come over, but when it comes every buyer of the book shall have it given him gratis."
The verses on verso of pi2 occur in two settings, one with two states: signed (1) "F[rancis]. Q[uarles].", or (2a) "M[ichael]. S[parke]." or (2b) unsigned.
Numerous error in paging.
